Book your ideal parking space at Liverpool Airport
With 5 million visitors every year, Liverpool John Lennon Airport is one of the busier medium-sized airports in Britain. To help visitors by car, the airport offers a varied range of parking options and to make things even easier our parking partners have a few hints and tips to ensure you get your ideal parking space.
Liverpool Airport offers both drop-off and pick-up services. If you’re picking-up or dropping-off friends and family the easiest option is the express drop-off section which features a covered walkway to the terminal, although it costs to enter the area and prices can rise steeply. There is also the Drop-off 2 carpark, which is a five-seven minute walk from the terminal and offers 40 minutes of free parking for drivers who are either picking-up or dropping-off.
Short-stay parking at Liverpool Airport is found in a multi-storey carpark opposite the terminal. It takes about a minute to walk from the covered carpark to the terminal, making this a great option for picking-up and dropping-off friends and family if you think you’ll need a little time to say your goodbyes. If you’re planning on leaving your car for longer than 24 hours it’s recommended that you consider more cost-effective long-stay parking.
Long-stay parking at Liverpool airport is in a separate car park to short-stay and is set a little further from the terminal doors. It takes about five minutes to walk from the long-stay parking to the airport, so it shouldn’t be too difficult even with your luggage. There is a minimum stay of 24 hours in the long-stay car park.
Liverpool Airport only has a single terminal so there’s no need to worry about which carpark to use – every carpark has good travel links to and from the terminal.
While it may be easier to find a space at Liverpool Airport than at some of the larger airports in Britain, many of the carparks are much smaller by comparison. If you want to ensure you get the best space at a reasonable price the only way is to book online.
Get there early: Liverpool Airport is close to the city centre and near many of the major motorways that run through the northwest. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to get to and from the airport and check local traffic reports before setting off to avoid congested routes.
Avoid fines: Many visitors to Liverpool Airport incur fines by stopping around the ‘Red Route no stopping’ zones which are indicated with thick red lines. Take extra care around the airport to ensure that you’re following the rules of the road so that you don’t get caught out.
