Manchester Airport is introducing a tariff for dropping off. Please read below for information about charges, directions and process
All passengers can use our free drop off area, from which a shuttle bus will transport you free of charge to your terminal.
There will be frequent shuttle buses, with journey times ranging from five to seven minutes, depending on the terminal you are travelling to. These services will be operated to a 24hour daily schedule with marshals on hand to assist. Please see terms and conditions of the free drop off area.

Alternatively, you can choose to be dropped off directly outside the terminals and train station. The charge for this is £5 for five minutes and £6.20 for 10 minutes. Staying over 10 minutes is not permitted: an overstay charge of £25.00 will apply after 10 minutes.
The system will include ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) in and a barrier system out, with payment taken at the barrier by card (contactless and chip & pin) or cash (sterling). Please see terms and conditions of the paid drop off zone.

The changes that we are introducing only impact those dropping off. The process for picking up passengers remains the same – passengers can be picked up in the arrivals car parks and multi-storey car parks with a charge of £6.20 for 30 minutes. We will have staff on hand to direct those dropping off and picking up to the right places.
Passengers who have booked to park in T1 multi-storey will note that they are directed to drive through the forecourt to enter the car park. There will be no charge for accessing the forecourt to enter the multi-storey.
