M56

National Highways are carrying out overnight works on the M56 over July 2025.

• 21:00 Sunday 6th July – 05:00 Monday 7th July 2025: Overnight closure of the M56 Eastbound (Sharston Link) between J4 and the M60.

• 21:00 Wednesday 9th July – 05:00 Thursday 10th July 2025: Overnight closure of the M56 Westbound J4-5 carriageway.

• 21:00 Thursday 10th July – 05:00 Friday 11th July 2025: Overnight closure of the M56 Eastbound J5-4 carriageway.

• 21:00 Friday 11th July – 05:00 Saturday 12th July 2025: Overnight closure of the M56 Westbound J5 exit slip (towards Manchester Airport).

• 21:00 Saturday 12th July – 05:00 Sunday 13th July 2025: Overnight closure of the M56 Westbound J5 exit slip (towards Manchester Airport).

• 21:00 Monday 14th July – 05:00 Tuesday 15th July 2025: Overnight closure of the M56 Westbound J5 exit slip (towards Manchester Airport).

M62

National Highways are carrying out overnight works on the M62 Westbound carriageway between junction 29 (Lofthouse) and junction 28 (Tingley), for essential works on the Ardsley railway bridge.

The full works will take place from 21:00 Friday 4th July to 05:00 Monday 7th July.

Please follow the signed diversion route in place, and add approximately an additional 30 minutes on journey times.
